    Hey Nick,

I’ve been working with your ‘SSIS adapter for Power BI REST api’. It works great thanks for sharing!

But my means for contacting is also so that i’ve run into an obstacle. I’m now to the point where i want to deploy the SSIS package to the server but it seems not to recognize the PowerBI Connection Manager. I installed the PowerBI Adapter on the server (SQL server 2012 Dev) both x86 and x64 and did a restarted. Locally on my development machine it works great. But when running the package v.a. SSIS catalog on the server it is not working. Error message say that de PowerBI connection manager is not known.

I know it’s not much information to go on but maybe you have run into it yourself. Maybe it is possible to share general installation steps for the server, it will be much appreciated.

Thanks and hopefully you can help me with my obstacle.

      Hi Benny.
I was deploying it manually to the server as I remeber. You will have a DLL just for the Connection manager. You should check your SQL instalattion folder DTS for connection manager DLL.
\Programm Files\SQL Server\110\DTS\Connections. DLL of Connection manager should be there abd registered in GAC. How to register in GAC you can find in the VS project, there is a script for BUILD action which registers DLLs in GAC.
      Hope this helps.

    Hi Nick,

Thanks for the quick response! Good to read we were on the right track.
A colleague was able to figure out that by running the package in 32bit mode on the server it was working. Seem that we developed in 32bit or the 64bit installation of the adaptor on the server is incorrect. Not sure which we still need to look into that. But we are happy it works!

First of all, Congrats about yout Send Me Free App it’s amazing!

I have one question… Sometime ago, Sharepoint launched a new Layout for Documents and my users Love it!

The only problem is that your app doesn’t work on it? Do you know any workaround or maybe a plan to update it?

Tks a lot and sorry about my English

Guys, I have checked the app for the old style library and it is working just fine.
Microsoft primised to keep support for app which have been built. Nothing I can do at this stage with the app.

Let’s wait for MSFT to release new api for doc libs. A work around would be to switch to old lib view.

      Thanks
      Nick
